文:肯米(kenmy) 原本許多球迷期待有大聯盟球隊來台比賽的舊金山巨人,來台開幕賽的事情已經告吹,可能是因為出場費談不攏而興致缺缺,這也讓原本期待出現首度台灣的第一次大聯盟球隊來台開幕賽/正式比賽的夢想,正式落空。

"We were informed that a deal couldn't be pulled together at this time,"D-backs spokesperson Shaun Rachau said. Had the deal gone through, the two teams would have played two exhibition games plus two regular-season games in Taiwan in late March. They then would have returned to Arizona to finish up Spring Training before resuming the regular season. As part of the deal, the D-backs would have had to give up a pair of home dates against the Giants, which they had indicated they were willing to do. "We hope that by having gone through this process we will be selected for regular-season games that may be held internationally in coming seasons,"Rachau said. The Giants are scheduled to open the regular season against the Dodgers in Los Angeles on April 1. The D-backs, meanwhile, will open against the Rockies in Coors Field on April 1. 大意是說,無法一起在這段時間來台,因為來台比賽的話,恐怕需要球員比其他球隊提早春訓/進入比賽狀況,恐怕會出現紅襪08年在日本與運動家的狀況,最後球員狀況無法掌握住,進而在季後賽無法奪冠(這也是牽拖啦),反正最後結果是不來就是。 不過不來就不來,只是這樣球迷就少了話題可以討論,也無緣看到前一年拿下冠軍的球隊來台灣比開幕賽了。這真的是有點可惜呢。
